WKC 50th Anniversary Celebration
The West Kortright Center is proud to present our 50th Anniversary Celebration
Saturday July 19th.
Community celebration of 50 years bringing art, love and music to this Valley.
It's the West Kortright Center's 50th birthday! To celebrate, we're throwing a FREE community party to honor the past, look to the future, and dance until the cows come home…
Bring WKC pictures, memories, your favorite vintage WKC merch, and your dancing shoes!
Help us celebrate the past 50 years and make new memories for the decades to come!
Music brought to us by the Big Takeover!
Fronted by the charismatic Jamaican-born singer and songwriter Nee Nee Rushie, the seven-piece New York band The Big Takeover plays original music that is rooted in and reverent toward the genres and rhythms of Jamaican pop: reggae, rocksteady, ska. Their deceptively complex arrangements and big hooks connect with the spirit of Motown and the uptown sophistication of the 21st century retro soul and R&B revival scene.
